Dividend Yield

Annual dividend per share divided by share price.

What is Dividend Yield?

Dividend Yield is the percentage return an investor receives in dividends, calculated as the annual dividend divided by share price. Yields above 4% often signal mature businesses — but extremely high yields can be a warning sign that the market expects a dividend cut.
